I am not sure if this is a Vista problem or a W2K3 problem so please forgive
the cross post.

I have a laptop running Vista SP1 and a domain controller running Server
2003. Everything works just fine until I reboot the laptop at which point
the server freezes completely and needs to be rebooted brutally. There are
no relevant or interesting events in the event logs of either machine and in
fact the laptop goes on functioning normally with no apparent problems
(except of course that it can't access files on the server etc.) after such
an event.

This is new behaviour for about a month now and was not apparent before
then. There have been numerous changes (updates, app installs etc.) on the
laptop but none whatsoever on the server.

What could possibly be causing this?
