Hi,
I have a laptop with Windows XP which is registered as a computer in a group
on the intranet at work. When I try to open a local file, XP checks the
intranet first. This is OK at work. But at home with a wireless connection
to the internet, when I try to open a local file, XP tries to check the now
nonexistent intranet and the delay in opening a local file is nearly a
minute before it times out and the file is opened. Is there a way to alter
this behavior?
Thanks,
Barry Goluboff
