Hi:
Everything was working perfectly, but not now. I am recieving an error
message for all current users (the client window interface) of:

To log on to this remote computer, you must have Terminal Server User Access
on this computer. By default, members of the Remote Desktop Users group have
these permissions. etc.

My people were loging in fine, then the project got put on the back burner
for 3 weeks with no one loging in or touching the machine and now no one can
logon. I checked the settings and they look good.

When I try and login, in the Terminal Services Manager window it shows a
RDP-Tcp #xx but I can not loging with the above message on the client window.

After initializing the computer and Termanial Server software, how long do
you have before having to install licenses???? I have yet to purchase or
install all the liceses I need. And I could use some help on that.

Help!!

Ok, I have been to Vera Noest's website http://ts.veranoest.net/ and I
have found the main answer. My license has expired.

RE: I hope licensing, but....

Ok, my questions are as follows.

1. I am thinking I will use 'per device licenses'. Is that a good way to
go, or what is the senerio to be using the 'per device licenses'???

2. Where do I install the licenses?? On the TS or the server the TS is
service to??

Thanks again!!

Do you have more users than devices?
(e.g. 2-5 users per machine) - Use device licenses

Do you have more devices than users?
(e.g. user has laptop and desktop) - Use user licenses

Depends on what your scenario is.

You install the licenses on the server you installed the TS Licensing
Server on.

In Add/Remove Programs you install TS Licensing on a server. It
could be a DC or the TS itself, your choice.

Then in Administrative Tools -> TS Licensing -> Activate Server
Then install the specific the licenses you need based on your
scenario above.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/294716/en-us has a whitepaper
and a step-by-step guide.
