Sometimes I can't disconnect from Internet with ADSL dial-up connection.
If I close the browser and then I click on disconnect on the dial-up
connection window, the progress bar will never stop (I waited for 2
hours) and so it will never disconnect from Internet, closing that window is
impossible. When this happens, I can't open new folders, I can't open the
control panel window, etc.
When this happens, I notice in task manager an instance of Internet Explorer
(iexplore.exe) which hasn't a visible window and I can't kill the internet
explorer process although it runs as my current user (I also used the
sysinternals process explorer, but it's impossible to kill this internet
explorer process).
When this problem occurs, the only possibility to disconnect from Internet
is to reboot the system (session terminating doesn't solve the problem!).
I have Vista SP1 fully updated, Standard User with UAC enabled, with AVG8
Antivitus Free, ADSL Modem Globespan Virata with a dial-up connection,
Windows Firewall.

I forgot to say that this happened also when I used Firefox, I noticed a
second firefox instance running but with a not visible window and I was
unable to kill the firefox.exe process
