What version of Office? It makes a huge difference.

Use Group Policy to redirect the desktop and then Group Policy again to
lock down the desktop.

Are you asking for the end point C drive to be the C drive on the
terminal server? If so, it cannot be done.

What server version are we talking about? win2k3 has the fallback
drivers for generic capabilities and Win2k8 has easy print. You can
also install drivers manually (names must match exactly) on the server
that match the client print drivers.

Office 2003 can be installed by itself just fine on terminal services.
If you want automatic configuration of things like Outlook then you need
to use the Office resource kit (http://office.microsoft.com/ork2003) to
create a transform file.

I could write a book on how to do this. There are many references from
Microsoft and others on how to do redirection, etc with Group Policy. A
little research or buying a book from Amazon will get you answers.

You can redirect drives by simply clicking the appropriate box in the
rdp client. You cannot tell it to replace the C: drive though.

As I already mentioned, installing the same print drivers on the server
will allow the redirection to work. Fallback drivers are configured in
Group Policy. If you are unfamiliar with group policy I would HIGHLY
suggest buying a book or two on it as it is very powerful and will take
care of many of your problems mentioned here.
