I have a small problem with my main (new) PC so went looking for possible
things to try.
One I found was to run the device driver verifier. As I am wary of using new
programmes on my main PC, I did what I usually do, and ran verifier as
instructed in Help and Support, BUT, on my old backup PC.
Disaster!!! Some way through the process the PC suddenly started running
extremely slowly - less than 10% of its correct speed.
Once nothing seemed to be happening, I restarted and got the same problem.
The PC is practically unusable.
BUT, it works fine when starting in either of the Safe Modes.
How can I get back my system so it will run again in Start Normally?
XP Pro with SP3/IE7 and all updates to software and hardware..
