I have Windows Server 2003 and am monitoring with a counter log. I should be
able to look at the current log even while it continues to add data. I was
able to do this before. However, I wanted to change something in the log -
remove a couple counters - so I changed that and then waited. Even though it
is running and adding an entry every 5 minutes, it does not seem to actually
write out to the file. I stopped the counter log and restarted it to see if
that would fix it. After I stopped it, the log file did have data in it. The
new log that was started still does not have any data in the file after a
day. What's going on here? I don't want to have to stop the monitor every
time I want to look at information less than two weeks old (the time I set to
stop logging and start a new log file).
