I've noticed recently that Windows seems to arbitrarily decide which
files/folders get their names truncated and an ellipsis added when viewing
them in icon/tile mode. This also affects my desktop, and it's really
annoying. Windows has chosen to abbreviate "TmSunrise" to "TmSunri..." when
the shortcut right beside it says "Play Rogue Squadron".
In short, does anyone know the rule Windows uses to assign abbreviations and
ellipses within folders, and if so, if it is changeable?
