Looking for a recommendation. I have several clients using Windows Server
2008 Terminal Servers, having a problem with the print spooler service
stopping. I feel that part of this may stem from the fact that not all the
printers in use have drivers for Server 2008. What we did in those cases,
was to use the Windows Vista print drivers, which seems to have worked.
So, my questions are, was using the Vista drivers a good idea? Or, should
we have used Server 2003 drivers, and if so, will they load without a problem?
These Terminal Servers were put into an existing enviroment, so we had no
control over the printers the remote clients have, some have multi-function
devices (which are only being used as printers), inkjets, etc.
Thank you,
Jason A.
