RE: Vista Update error 80072EFD after joining domain

Hi There,
had same problem with updates even not using any domain servers. But
following 5 easy steps worked for me.

Step 1:
IE (internet Explorer) > tools > Internet Options

Step 2:
Then click "Connections" Tab then click on "Lan settings" Button

Step 3:
remove check box for
" Use automatice configuration script "
where you may also have somekind of localhost address with proxy thing in
text box.

Step 4:
Select check box for
" Automaticaly detect setting "

Step 5:
Click ok.

That's all then try to update windows.

I did all this and Every thing seems cool sgain now.

Thanks.
