Viewing two windows at once.

Hello Folks
I need to copy a lot of information from PDF files and put them in a word
document. However, when I start typing, the PDF window goes behind the open
Word file window and I have to manually switch between the two every couple
of words or so. Is it possible not to lose the view of PDF window.
It will be unfeasible to print each PDF file as there is a *lot* of them to
do and only need about 30 or so words from each page. It is also unfeasible
to have two small windows open as there will have to be lots of scrolling up,
down, left and right.

It a nutshell, what I want is to do is to be able to type on a full screen
Word document, with a 3/4 size PDF window open on the right hand side without
it disappearing. I hope you can understand my great logic.

I am sure what I am trying to explain has a technical term put I do not know
it.

Right-click in Taskbar, than 'Tile Windows Horizontally'.

I take it you've checked that you can't copy/paste directly from the PDF? In
Adobe Reader there's a "Select" button that changes the cursor from the hand
to an I-bar you can use to select text, then maybe copy (ctrl-C).

Although this is not quite what I was after it is a lot better that my
current method. I do have many forms to do but it is only a one off job. It
will make the whole process a lot easier.

I did try the select in Reader but had no luck. Some of the words were done
with Wordart and some words are behind pictures.

"Tile windows horizontally" and "Tile windows vertically" divides the
entire screen equally among all the active windows. You can also
customize this effect. If you open a window to its less-than-full screen
size, you can increase or decrease its size by putting the mouse cursor
on one of the window edges and dragging in or out. If you put the mouse
over a corner of the window, you can increase the window's height and
width simultaneously. You can position the window on the screen by
clicking and dragging on the window's title bar.

As long as one window doesn't overlap the other, one of them won't
"disappear" when you change the focus by clicking in the other one.

You might try this freeware to keep the pdf window "always on top" or google
for other "always on top" freeware.
