No, they do not go to any bit bucket. ntbackup.exe places its log files
(which are autonumbered) named backupnum.bkf in the ...\data folder
under the ...\ntbackup folder which in turn is under the WindowsNT
folder in the Microsoft folder under Application Data under Local
Settings under your username under Documents and Settings <g>. Unless
of course, when you click REport button, you choose Save As and give it
a location of your own to store it in, such as the same folder where the
backup file went to.
So, the default location for log files is:
c:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\WindowsNT\ntbackup if I worked throught that correctly.
So, any and all backups do get a logfile and are located as above
unless you change the location to send it to. To be sure I'm right, I
just saved a System State with it; something it was time to do anyway.
