Re: Trying to delete WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe

I tried taking ownership of the parent directory and child objects but I
still get the error. Note this is on a seperate hard drive to where windows
has bee ninstalled.

Look at the Special Permissions and make sure that there are no "Denied"
permissions in there. Make sure that restrictive permissions are not
inherited from a parent folder.

I've copied off what I wanted, formatted the drive then moved back again.

Re: Trying to delete WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe

Maybe a bit of an extreme fix but it accomplished what you wanted so
that is all that counts.

Re: Trying to delete WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe

Forgot to mention I do need a fix as I can't do this with C, nor D.

Re: Trying to delete WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe

I would have tried some utilities first like -

Unlocker
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

Utility for Deleting Invalid Files
http://www.purgeie.com/delinv.htm

Of course, using these are at your own risk.
