Can I do a Batch (.bat) file to change the screensaver time?

I would super love to be able to have a shortcut on my desktop or
quick launch bar to change my screen saver active time. Because it is
password protected, I like it to activate within the minimum time (1
minute) when I leave my desk - but when I am at my desk, it is
annoying to have to log on every time I get distracted from computer
for more than one minute. And clicking a button or shortcut would
certainly be easier than logging off, or going to display settings
everytime my boss calls me into his office or I go to the restroom.

Does anyone know how to do this in a batch file or some other way?

Thanks in advance for your help!

out on the keyboard:

Hi Magmike,

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/182383

Try creating a shortcut using screensavername.scr /c to bring up the
dialog box.

that?

I was speaking to the first responder, Bob I, who suggested I press
the Windows Key and the L key to instantly activate my locked
screensaver. Keyboard shortcuts is what I meant.

Hi magmike,

I do just the opposite. I set my timer for 512 minutes, but
I have set a hot-key under Dexpot Desktop Manager to
automatically start the screensaver when I press
[Alt]-[Ctrl]-[Num0].

Makes it a lot easier than changing settings all the time.

There are also a number of standalone freeware utilities
that will activate a screensaver based on a hot-key selection.
