System Restore Problems XP/PRO

Have Managed to Successfuly Restore(at last),to a restore point,ie :-
Using Safe Mode.What does this indicate please. jim PS At least one can
do a Restore,ie if necessary.I'd like to be able to do same in Normal
mode tho.

There is no way to answer your question since we don't know anything about
your computer, its recent history, or what security software you're
running. I suggest you take a look at MVP Bert Kinney's information about
System Restore to see if anything is applicable to your situation.

Thanks for You reply Malke.Am using windows XCP/PRO + ADAWARE- ZONE
ALARM & AVG FREE VERSION.I've tried disabling Zone alarm & Avg with no
luck.I've used Sys/Restore for Years ,pror to this Hiccup.Regards. jim

You've multiposted this question elsewhere. See below for why multiposting
will get you *less* help, not more.

Possibly Zone Alarm is the culprit because it has caused a lot of issues
recently. I would uninstall it per the instructions on their website and
see what happens. The most recent AVG has also caused issues, so it could
be that too. Again, you left out what changed between the time things
worked and the time they didn't so I can't give you more specific help. You
should also take the time to read through Bert Kinney's information at the
link I previously gave you.
