Anyone know the CLSID for the right-click command,

Even better is a reg file for it. Thanks.

I don't think there is such a shell extension to call the CreateHardLink
function, you were probably using a third party tool like Ntfslink to
see this context menu item.

Re: CLSID for "Create Hard Link Here"

I was scrolling through "File Types" from "Folder Options" when I noticed
that "File Folder" was missing. I couldn't remember which key that was
so I downloaded "Folder" and Directory" reg files, opened them up and
compared them to what I had. Turns out that the "Directory" key was
missing the "File Folder" description and some CLSID's. Same thing for
"Folder", except description. I replaced them and watched to see what
they were for. One of them restored the Drag&Drop handler for
"Create Hard Link Here".

I researched Hard Links and learned of ntfslink, among others. I love
it, but now I want to remove the old "Create Hard Link Here" but I
don't know which CLSID brought it back, and deleting one at a time
did not work. When I first got it back I said to myself, "I should write
that CLSID down". I thought it would be easy to find if I forgot and now
it's become a nightmare. Someone must know what it is.

Re: CLSID for "Create Hard Link Here"

I found it. I thought it was explorer because adding some missing CLSID's
restored the command. Anyway, I got lucky. The first program I checked
was ShellToys which had the option, un-checking it removed it. I don't
think I'll ever find out which CLSID made it show up but I don't care
anymore. Problem solved and case closed.
