MS Viewer Updates

WindowsXP/HE SP3, OfficeXP/Pro SP3
Hallo NG!
I download automaticaly all official updates from MS. But now there is a
small problem.
I became downloaded the security updates for the Viewers KB 934041,
KB943992, KB943889 and Office 2003 KB929064.
Following the express-installation i got informed that these 4 updates
couldn't be installed (no reason given). Checking the box "Don't show this
updates again" (or similar, from german) doesn't help. They are
continously shown again as ready for download/installation. What can I do?
Installed are:
Excel Viewer 2003 (11.6412.6505) SP1
Word Viewer 2003 (11.6506.6505) SP1

Hi Helge,
Nach einer Neuinstallation oder Reparatur von Windows XP lassen sich Updates
nicht von Windows Update, Microsoft Update oder mithilfe der Funktion
"Automatische Updates" installieren.

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you perform a new Windows XP
installation or you repair a Windows XP installation
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144

Open a notepad and copy and paste the following into it and save as
update.bat on your desktop. Double click the bat file to excute and click
[Yes to register the dlls and reboot your machine and see if that will help!

Or try this fix.
Download Dial-a-Fix:
http://wiki.djlizard.net/Dial-a-fix

If the above didn't help try to delete the folders for the SelfUpdate and
Download here:
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and also the SelfUpdate folder be
deleted.
Reboot your machine and see if you can install these updates.

Helge,

If you deleted the installation files for the Office Viewers than
subsequent security updates for them will *never* install.
If that's the case, then uninstall the Viewers from Add/Remove Programs
in the Control Panel.
Download the Office Viewers from the MS Download Center and *save* them:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Search.aspx?

Enter the desired Viewer in the Search box and then click Go.
Create a folder in MyDocuments and name it Office Viewers.
Move the installation files there and install the Viewers now.
Security updates will now install for the Viewers.

Well, thanks, did as you proposed. That worked perfectly for the Word
Viewer but
NOT for the Excel Viewer. I still receive:

Some Updates couldn't be installed:
Security update for MS Office Excel Viewer 2003 (KB943889)
Security update for Office 2003 (KB929064)

I dl'd ExcelViewer.exe 75.917KB, Ver. 12.0.4518.1071, RD 1/14/2008
and wordview_en-us.exe 25.084KB, Ver. 12.0.6015.5000, RD 9/26/2007
Any mistakes?

Excel Viewer 2003 is v.11.0.8231.0
You installed the latest Version of the Excel Viewer, v.12.0.4518.1071,
and the updates are intended for Excel Viewer 2003. That's why they
won't install <w>
