Microsoft is now blocking Trillian instant messaging. This is rediculous.
I have two reason for using Trillian instead of MS mesenger. First,
messenger does all kinds of crap in the background and wants to run itself
all the time, and it has this pop up window that has nothing to do with my
IM session. In other words, I dumped MS messnger for the same reason I
dumped AOL years ago, it became abuntantly clear to me that the service was
about prividing access to me rather than for me. Second I don't like to
have several IM programs running at once, having one program- Trillian is
simpler and safer. MS is just being a pissant here, there's no reason to
block this service, and don't worry about my security, if anyone is relying
on MS for security, I'm sorry but your probably already toast. Let me
worry about my security, don't make it harder for me to use my computer.
