Hello,
I want to enable machine based 802.1x authentication ou our network,
using the certificate distributed by our own Windows-PKI.

For Windows XP SP2, we found the solution to do it via the GUI(anyone
can point me to the correct GPO-Settings?).
For Windows Vista, the only solution seems to be to do it via an XML
file as discribed in KB 929847(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929847/
en-us). is there any easier way to configure this and a possibility to
configure this via GPO?

Thanx in advance
Best regards

The KB you're referring to is to disable user auth and such.
For starters, check
