Uninstall problem

I have a HP Desk jet all in one printer and need to reinstall the
program from the CD disk
when i go into add / remove and try to remove nothing happens.

the CD that came with the printer has an option to remove but just
freezes and locks everything so cant shut PC down.

i have tried removing in safe mode but this also has no effect.
is there any way of removing so i can reinstall.??

Is the printer turned on when you try this?

I have tried both connected and unconnected.
on install the USB cable should be disconnected.

You need to remove all the old drivers first. I don't know if your
all-in-one is like mine, but you should contact HP for the removal file.
I had to run the uninstall bat four times with a re-start after each
removal. Then you pray that the printer installs. They gave me a new
install program for my printer.

Did you try uninstalling from Start > All Programs?
