Lose sound on Restart

Got cheap Storm Surge sound card that Loses sound on Restarting. If I
open tray icon & make any adjustment it comes on ok.

Onboard sound originally with it I disabled in DManager but didnt
remove.

Any ideas except 'update driver'?

A working unsecure OS is infinitely better than non-working secure OS.
Just spent 1 week cleaning up the mess WUpdate made preventing

Why not "update driver"? The normal troubleshooting steps:

1. Update drivers. In your case, you would need to get them from the Storm
Surge mftr.'s website.

2. If that doesn't work, the card is probably defective. Uninstall it and
replace it with a better one. I don't know what you call cheap, but a
decent sound card costs under $20.

Dont have much luck with them & I'm LAZY after WInstaller
problems ran me around 4 2 wks ): Also u never know if u d/l an EXE
whether its gonna install driver or just extract files someplace that
u gotta find then use in Dev Mgr.

Mine was about that cost 5 yrs ago. Now most PC stuff is CHEAP!

Was hoping I could flip a bit to fix it :)
