Ok so I have a HP Pavilion dv9000 that I just had to rebuild from my recovery
partition because after I restored my system using my Windows Home Server a
ton of things did not work. What's the point of having a Home Server if the
backup/restore process does not work right? Anyway as you can see I am not
happy. So I have my system completely rebuilt with all my software reloaded
and I wanted to be able to use the Offline Files feature in it. Well when I
go to right click on a folder or file so that I can make it available offline
the option is not there. I looked at the Offline setting and it says it is
enabled but needs to restart for it to work. I have read many posts on this
and looks like there are a lot of people out there with this issue. I reboot
still does not work. I try and start the Offline Service it will not start.
Gives me the error "Windows could not start the Offline Files service on the
Local Computer. Error 0x80070003: The system cannot find the path
specified." I have read from other posts that this has to do with the
Recovery partition that some of the OEM manufactures have created that do not
work right. Is this the case and is there a fix for this? I found a article
on the MS knowledgebase that sort of talks about similar issues and wondered
if by doing this it would fix the problem.

Please if someone has any info on a fix for this let me know.
Thanks!
