I am not really sure where to go with this. I am currently at a loss.
I am trying to optimize communications between our iSCSI SAN and Windows
Server 2003 boxes. Right now I am doing test copies between two Server
boxes but the issue exists when I copy between a host and the SAN.
Basically my servers are transmitting packets with a maximum size of
61K. My test switch can only handle 1.5K. We are going to be using
jumbo packets but the 61K is still over the amount that switch can
handle. Now I do not experience this on file transfers between Windows
Vista boxes.
Can someone tell me if this is normal? Let me know if you need
clarification.
