Hi All,

We are just embarking on a total Infrastructure revamp. Conveting from NT4,
W98 clients to WK3, Vista clients. We need to focus on Data Migration and in
particular exchange from NT4 to WK3.

Does anyone have any tips on anything relating to conversion from NT4 to WK3
that could be of use?

Any information would be greatfully received.

Hello Peter,

I assume you talk about a domain, so you can either migrate to a complete
new domain structure, what you should do if your domain name is single labled
like DOMAIN instead of DOMAIN.LOCAL or similar. Also you can do an inplace
upgrade from NT4 to 2003, if your hardware is capable of 2003 including drivers.
Do you run Exchange 5.5 or older int he NT4 domain?

So ADMT v3 is your friend for migrating to a new domain:

Hi Meinolf,

Thanks very much for your response - appreciated.

I believe that we have Exchange 5.5 on the NT4 Box. We also need to convert
98 to Vista clients.

Hello Peter,

Windows 98 you can not upgrade to VIsta, needs a reinstall.
