Re: CD Burner problems
All burning aplications log the burning process,.. what does the log say
about the error?. What are the two applications you have used?
Try making an ISO image of the CD before burning it to another CD, it makes
for better and trouble free copies. Try to copy&burn the CD in two stages
with "ImgBurn". It's very simple and easy to use and failure proof so far.

In case you keep using the computer while the copy & burn process is going
on, it's better to do nothing else to allow the application all the
available memory for better efficiency. Also delete your temp files and
memory clutter before attempting to burn the CD again. Use CCleaner for
that job.

If all this fails, both drives may have dust on the laser lens (which is a
relatively common problem).. likely if they are a few years old, as early as
two/three years (depending on dust or pollution conditions) may be long
enough for some dust to have collected on the laser lens to cause errors.
But there are many factors that could influence a failed burning session.
