OS = Windows Vista Home
Memory = 1 Gig
Browser = IE
Other = Norton Internet Security

I can download programs from download.com and sites like that just fine. I
can also download attachments in Outlook just fine. My Issue is that when
trying to download PDF or Microsoft Office Documents from my Yahoo Mail it
shows the attachment, I click scan & download... It seems fine. BUT even when
I uncheck the box that says to close the dialog box after download, the box
closes and the file is not anywhere to be found. I was trying to save them to
the desktop, but no go. I created a folder called c:\downloads and tried
saving there, nothing. The files show up in recent documents, but then cannot
be found when I click the shortcut.

I also noticed that PDF files from Some of my customer sites do the same
thing, but not from All sites.

I added The Yahoo Mail server to my trusted sites & it still does not work.
I turned off Norton firewall, spyware, anti-virus and phishing filter... No
change. At no point am I getting the IE information bar either.

Please help as I have to get this fixed by 1:00 pm 8-16-07

Norton Antivirus is incompatible with Vista so it might help
to get rid of it and use a compatible, free, product instead
like Avast... http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

If you use Yahoo! Mail you will notice that it's Yahoo! using Norton
server side. Yahoo! has an agreement with Symantic so that all
attachments are checked before they leave the mail server. This means
that the reason this version of Norton isn't compatible with Vista is
that ir runs on Linux/Unix/BSD or whatever Yahoo! Mail is running
on :)

Also, my new laptop came with Norton pre-installed on Windows Vista.
Are you saying that a major PC manufacturer ships a non-compatible
anti virus solution on all their stuff? Or are you using the term
"compatible with Vista" loosly because it doesn't work well? I
uninstalled Norton on my laptop among with tons of other pre-installed
crap, so I wouldn't know myself.
