Purchased HP wireless mouse 9/4 and setup consisted of plugging in USB
transmitter and away I went. Today the mouse batteries died and I replaced
them. No matter what I did, could get no recognition that the PC recognized
the mouse. Called HP and after about 2 1/2 hours got to right department.
Actually one call they wanted $ to test my system, and all this over a $26
mouse. Item is warranted for 1 year and tomorrow they will call me so a new
can be obtained. Hoping someone reading this might offer a testing
suggestion. Using Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. Presently using old
wired PS2 mouse. Man this wireless stuff is great!!

Re: HP Wireless Mouse

Make certain that the receiver's not located anywhere near anything else
electrical (e.g., a router; a desklamp). Otherwise, try reinstalling the
mouse software.
