Can't copy and paste

I have a problem in that I cannot copy and paste between machines and
also between sever and and machines in my network. Server and the
clients can see each other with no problem and can ping , but when I
try to copy a file from one machine and paste to another directory in
another client or server, it tells me "Access denied". I don't know
where to go to uncheck any restrictions. BTW, I am running Win2k3 Sm.
Bus. Server.
Would appreciate all help.

is this Active Directory or a workgroup environment?
On the machine, which shares the folders, right click the folder in Windows
Explorer and select Sharing and Security.
On the Sharing tab click Permissions and allow the group Everyone Full
control.
On the Security tab check, if the accessing user with an existing account
(or a group he is member in) has enough NTFS permissions to write the files
to the location he wants and that he is not member of a group which is
access explicitely denied.
