Missing/corrupt hal.dll and forgotten administrators password

Well, i have the "missing/corrupt hal.dll"-problem, but can´t get going with
the Recovery console because of a forgotten administrators password - what to
do? I have Windows XP pro.

Try to Blank the password first then try thr repair/install.
