Correct me if I'm in the wrong news group for my question. I'm looking for
a way to log/track all AD users that send print jobs to our printer.
Lately, users have been wasting a lot of paper and I want to see who is
doing this. One of our printers is an HP 8100 shared out on a AD Windows
2003 SP2 box. Any thoughts our suggestions?

There's a wealth of third-party print logging/monitoring software out
there....nothing native will help you much unless you want to pore through
your event logs.

Ok, that's what I thought but wanted to check the newsgroups first.

Re: Log AD users who send print jobs

enable Informational events in Printers Folder / Server Properties /
Advanced

Event 10 is the successfully print event but if you have a lot of printing
going on, the 3rd party tools will parse this data more efficiently.
