This is somewhat of a guessing question... because I can't recall what the
feature is, but here goes.
I have a Windows 2003 Server with SP2 installed - recently I installed a
Third Party Piece of software that created a Windows Service.
During a reboot, a dialog box was presented to me related to the exe of the
service, I had two choices (checkboxes at the top) One was related to letting
the server manage the other was something like allow all but the ones that I
select, and then under that was a list box and there was a single entry in
the list box that showed the exe name of the service.
I left the setting alone, which I think was allow all but what I chose, I am
not sure. I cannot for the life of me recall what this dialog box was
called, how to get back to it, and how to cofigure it.
I something like DEF sticks in my mind, but I don't know. Is there a dialog
box that controls or protects services and how they are accessed? Or if by
what I have described, if there is a different dialog box that would present
me with these choices related to a service, how do I get to it?
I know this is like a needle in a hay stack... but perhaps someone smarter
than I can figure out what I am talking about.
THanks
