Im using Windows XP SP3.After reformat the HD recently, those newly installed
programs are not highlighted and prompted on the Start>All programs menu.I
have tried to customize the start menu by checking "highlight newly installed
programs"button under advance tag but it does not function at all. please
assist.Thank you.

RE: Newly installed programs not highlighted on the Start menu

Right click the Start button > Properties, on the Start Menu tab click the
Customize... button. On the Customize Start Menu box click on the Advanced
tab. Under Start menu settings click the box to check it before "Highlight
newly installed programs"
