Is there any way to customize individual folders, without having those
settings apply to any other folders?
For example:
I prefer to group some commonly used items into Folders I create on my
desktop, to organize them & make them easier to access.
I created a folder on my desktop that I labeled "Audio," in which I
placed shortcuts to several audio editing programs.
I created another folder on my desktop that I labeled "Video," in which
I placed shortcuts to a few video editing programs.
I want these (and *-_only_-* these) folders to be nothing more than
"boxes" for grouping & accessing the programs they contain:
I don't want or need them to display the navigation pane, status bar,
etc.
But if I change one of my these using Organize>Layout, it affects
-everything-: My Computer, My Documents, etc., change as well.
I used to be able to do this back when I had XP… but I can't find a way
to manage it in Vista.
Help, anyone… please???
