Hello everyone.

I'm having a hard time with my vista when I'm playing some games. When
I try to play ex. COD4, wc3 or crysis my vista freezes like for 5-20secs
and then it come back to normal. The newer (better graphics, etc..) the
game is then it's most likely gonna freeze. When I bought my comp I
could play almost every game (without freezing), but not anymore.

I'm wondering is it because of some virus or just a vista bug? I've
noticed that if I alt-tab in-game csrss.exe or dllhost.exe is taking A
LOT OF cpu-usage. /: I guess that ain't normal? I read some other forums
and I noticed csrss.exe has something to do with vista's graphical
stuff. Since my comp is only freezing when I'm playing something I think
csrss.exe is the problem.

I've ran many malware-removals and virus scanners. But they aint
helping. I'm pretty hopeless atm. If you guys can help me somehow I
would really appreciate it!

Best regards,
E

Crysis is a heavy use of resources.

Try some basic maintenance first. No infections?

Run the CCleaner: 'Download CCleaner 2.12.660 - FileHippo.com'

Run the full disk check

Defrag

If still having problems use the system configuration utility-
selective startup and see if the will help to narrow down the problem.
Help for this is available in the utility.

Re: Vista 32bit is freezing.

Hello,
glatzfront

I have already tried these things:
CCleaner
Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware
Kaspersky Online Scanner
Avast virus scanner
S&D Spybot
Ad-Aware
JkDeFrag-3.36
ATF-Cleaner
+ some others.

Some viruses (and bad registry values) were found and deleted. But it
didn't change anything.
I tried sfc /scannow and it found something that needed to be repair
but my vista couldn't repair them. And I'm having a hard time to
understand the logfile.
