I wanted to make the text on my Inspiron 1520 Windows XP (I running Windows
6.0) just a little bit larger, so I used the Accessibility Wizard.

Instead of increase my font size a bit much, it is 10 times larger. I tried
a number of times to re-do the Wizard but it would go back to my original
settings. I cannot even see 1/3 of an article on my screen. It deleted my
background (which I can reload) but I don't know why it disappeared.

When I turn my computer on, click on IE, everything looks normal until
instead of the page with my background and the icons I use, I have a complete
white page with the icons I use. The icons are of normal size but when I
click on IE and it takes me to my home page the text is 10 maybe 20 times the
size I was attempting. Also, in this process, the tool bar with starts with
File, Edit etc. has disappeared. It had deleted my google tool bar but I
reinstall it.

I attempt to Restore the system to yesterday before I used the Accessibility
Wizard and the result is that there is nothing to restore. I hope someone has
answer because my computer is basically useless in its present condition and
I cannot afford to pay microsoft to ask one of their technicans.

I would appreciate any and all help.

Thanks, Anne

Re: Accessibility Wizard

What option did you choose in the Wizard? Was it one that included the
magnifier? When you re-ran the wizard, were you able to select the option
to restore defaults? From your description, it seems that things are now OK
for the desktop, but too large in Internet Explorer. To restore the menu
bar, right click in an area near the icons (perhaps in the top left corner,
or if there's a blank area next to them, in that blank area) and choose Menu
Bar. When you get the menu back, choose View / Text Size and then Smallest.

Repost to an XP newsgroup. This one is for Windows98
(cf. group name) which has no Wizards.
