Hi folks, long story short.

I left my laptop with a friend in the US after a two month visit.
The laptop was formatted and installed (XP Home) here in Australia.
I send over the odd movie for her to see. Being an NTSC country she can
only watch
the movies (PAL) on the laptop.
As time has it, the laptop crashed and she had the system reinstalled there
in the states.
She cannot now play the PAL movies I sent her, probably because it now has
an American configuration/software.
I think she is using Media Player 9 or 10.
What does she need to do to get Media player (installed in the US) to play
PAL movies?
does she need to change XP region to Australia? What steps are needed to
keep the American configuration and still play
PAL movies?

TIA

Re: Can't play movies

Have her download and install VLC Player and the problem will go away.
