Currently we are seeing a memory leak occuring in svchost process via
Task Manager in Windows 2003 sp1. Upon investigation, we found out that
svchost's services are as below:

- Application Experience Lookup Service
- Background Intelligent Transfer Service
- Cryptographic Services
- COM+ Event System
- Server
- Workstation
- Network Connections
- Network Location Awareness (NLA)
- Task Scheduler
- System Event Notification
- Windows Management Instrumentation

The svchost consume up to 200+ MB in 10 days after reboot.

Anybody have any idea how to overcome this issue.
Thanks

I would launch procexp.exe (www.sysinternals.com) to monitor which svhost
process has a memory leak. You will need to select a suitable column via the
View pull-down menu.

You should really be on SP2 by now as it's been fairly well vetted and
is safe. If you go this route, I suggest also installing the post-SP2
update that turns off the SNP.
