Anyone knows about some key combination that would automatically
finish the folder names as you typing them in? I've seen someone doing
it but I couldn't get a good look at the key combination he was using.

Re: Command line shortcut

use asterisk

Example
C:\>CD DOC* enter

goes to C:\Documents and Settings

Hi Yaro,

I'm guessing you're talking about Windows Explorer. When I type in a
letter in the Address bar, all the folders beginning with that letter
show up. As I type more letters the list is shortened. I can use the
arrow keys to select the one I want. Is this what you're trying to
accomplish?

See my previous post to yaro137. In the Command Prompt, either the F
keys or arrow keys will bring back past commands or just parts of them.

Cheers,

Asterisk works great as well. Thanks guys. It's so much easier to use
the command prompt knowing this.
