Stop Word raising open docs to forefront when opening new doc?

I have XP 2002 SP3 and I am running Word 2003 and IE 2007. When I open a new
document in Word, Word raises all of the open documents to the top of my
desktop, even if they are minimized.

Also, when I open a new document from a website, if all of the open Word
documents are minimized, Word will highlight an open document in my start
pane and wait until I click on the highlighted document in the start menu to
unminimize it before it opens the new document. Any idea on how to prevent
both of these actions?

You might try posting in an Office or Word group for more help with this.

(and fyi, I think you mean "foreground" and not "forefront: )

I would ask an MS Word newsgroup.
