it works, but i have some questions about

- can i regulate the bandwith using by easy print like thinprint and how ?
- is there a dedicate port for easy print (i want to prior thoses data)

thanks

Check this:

Bandwidth Allocation for Terminal Server connections over RDP

terminal-server-connections-over-rdp.aspx

Re: TSE 2008 AND EASY PRINT

hello Vera and thanks for this link, it answer 90 % of my question

i will precise my demand

1) can i specify a specific value of Bandwidth Allocation for the printer
data, (and not all the data except the video)
2) can i specify a max value in bits

I explain why and i want that

in ny case il will have 30% dedicate for the printer and the copy of files
etc ...

i have clients on a site who's connect to the main site to a 2008 TSE
The Bandwidth of the branch office is 1 Mb and when they test a print the
take all the place of the Bandwidth
I canno't upgrade the Bandwidth

before whis this site we were using thinprint and i dedicate a max of 300Kb
for the print data

thanks à lot

thanks

Re: TSE 2008 AND EASY PRINT

Hi,

Easy Print does not have the printing bandwidth limitation
setting like commercial TS universal printer drivers.

Please read here where I raised this exact issue in 2007
with the TS Team (read the questions/answers at the bottom):

http://blogs.msdn.com/ts/archive/2007/05/03/introducing-terminal-services-easy-print-part-2.aspx

Sadly most of my suggestions were not taken (one example,
look at recent post on the 23rd "Windows Server 2008 and
redirected printer names": this would have been solved by
my naming scheme registry setting) :-(

Thanks.

Re: TSE 2008 AND EASY PRINT

hello

thanks for the link

i had already read it, but without the questions/answers :-)

so if i had good understanding i will be oblige to buy thinprint, because we
print a lot of big job on small channel for a lot of people :-)

despite that the tests i done are very interresting, print jobs where well
compress

thanks nicolas
