changing name of computers "user" folder

purchased a new dell cpmputer with xp pro. . in documents and settings there
are three folders . .
"all users" , "user" and a hidden folder "default user"
How can i change the name of the "user" folder. .

The "User" folder usually matches your logon account. While you can modify
it through a registry hack, I recommend that you leave it as it is.

First, create a new account for yourself, second, copy any files you
want to keep to your new account then delete the user account.

The user profile folders (C:\Documents and Settings\Username)
_cannot_ be renamed, without risky registry editing, even if the
associated user account has been. So, your best course of action would
be to log on using the built-in Administrator account, create a new user
account, with the username desired. Once you've logged in using this
new account (and transfered any data you need to preserve, you can then
delete the old user account(s).
