re ending MS's Action Pack subscription

Hello,

After several years of subscribing to Microsoft's Action Pack I have
decided to stop as most of the software is no longer relevant to what
I do.

It does seem a little hard that it appears that I will have to buy a
full priced copy of Office Pro.

Is this true? No reduced price for ex-Action Pack users?!

Action Pack subscriptions end when you don't renew, you can not use the
software in any manner, not even an upgrade. It must be removed, even if
you buy RETAIL Licenses, the old software must be UNINSTALLED.

all the above I know - I was expressing the hope that MS might give me
a reduction on Office pro!

Nope. I took over a business where the old IT company had bought RETAIL
licenses for everything, then sold them on EBay and sold the company
their Action Pack - which is a serious violation. The old IT group even
removed the MS Stickers (COA) from the Dells.....

I talked with MS, but no luck, not even a chance of a discount or other.

OO is NOTHING close to MS Office unless you're not working with people
that use MS Office and never have to work with people using MS Office.

Or you could use a pencil sharpener made in 1945 - you know the kind you
mount on the wall with a crank.

Results comparable to OpenOffice have been reported by proper application of
tubless tire repair kits; the ones with a tube of cement and rubber plugs.

When I have a problem that could be solved with OpenOffice, I reach for a
container of African Violet fertilizer.

Maybe it depends who you talk to?

I have been surprised by MS.

In the early days of XP I bought a copy of XP Home only to realise
that it couldn't logon to a network server. After several phone calls
I found someone who said just send us the DVD and we will send you XP
Pro. This they did for no extra cost!

So, who is the right person to talk to re an Office Pro discount?!
perhaps someone knows ...
