Did you check the game's website? They may have something about the issue
if it is something common.

Re: Game installation

Are you installing from a CD or a downloaded installer?

Post the exact error message.

Re: Game installation

It is a CD, and the error message reads:
"error 1335 cabinet file 'cab2.cab' required for this installation and can
not be use because is corrupt, this could indicate a network error, and a
error reading from cd or a problem with the package"

This may indicate that your DVD/CD drive is starting to be
unreliable. You can try copying the entire contents of the CD into a
folder on the hard drive. If the copy completes, then the CD install
routine is at the centre of the problem.

Re: Game installation

You have a defective disc, return it.
You could try cleaning it. Use a soft cloth, warm water and dish soap.
Shake off the big water drops then let it air dry.
