I have a HP server with four 500GB hard drives. I completely re-did the
arrays we would have two arrays:
1. two hard drives are raid 1+0: 100GB is partitioned as C drive and the
other 400+GB is partitioned as E drive
2. two hard drives are raid 0 and partitioned as F drive
When file comparing two files on the F drives, it works, regardless of the
file size. When I do it on C or E, the file compare works for file size
under 1GB, but fails if it's over 1GB.
We had this problem with the previous install of the OS. We've replaced
several hardware stuff like CPU, memory, controller. We even did hard drive
diagnostics and didn't find any issues.
what could be causing the file compare to fail on one array and not the other?
