I have an XP SP2 computer that is running Microsoft Works 7.0. When I
amsaving a file in the Word Processor, I click on Save As, and the Save As
Dialog box will open. In the filename field, there is a list of strange
characters that I have never seen before. I go ahead and erase these
characters and then type in a relevant filename. For example, I will call a
file customerinfo.wps for example. Later on when I go to open the file in
the Works Task Launcher, the file name is a single character, such as c.wps.
If I click on it, the file is there. How is the filename getting changed all
the time and how can i fix it? Thanks for any ideas.

Re: Works Question

You may have a corrupted Template Jeff.
I'd make a new default template,
and try again.
There is a dedicated Newsgroup for works by the way.

Here's one idea: Ask in a group with Works in it's title. Here's a
second idea: Notice this group lacks that word.

Ask elsewhere
