So I setup a small network with 3 computers. All of which have Windows 10 Professional. 2 of the workstations are logging in with a local user account. The 3rd is using a Microsoft Account.
I shared a folder on one of the workstations that is using a local user account. The other workstation logging in as a local user account can connect to the share just fine. I get a popup asking for credentials, enter them in and bingo. The 3rd workstation with the Microsoft Account pops up asking for credentials as well but it's asking for a Microsoft email address and pin.
Well there is no email address and pin to access this share. Even clicking to use other account doesn't give me an option to use a local user account.
I ran in to this before and I had to change the computer using a Microsoft Account to use a local user account, then the popup asked for the correct credential format (username/password)
There has GOT to be a way around this? I can't believe MS would slam such a limitation on this?
