I logged in this morning to find Windows 10 had ran updates last night, I found my link to Active Directory Users and Computers (dsa.msc) was broken and the file removed. I went into Control Panel to add it back in through "Turn Windows features on or off" but found RSAT was completely removed. I contacted Microsoft Tier 1 Chat support (Roland G) and was told
"Roland G: Okay and I would like to inform you that remote desktop services is no longer available in Windows 10.
Roland G: It will not work in windows 10
Me: remote server manager services?
Roland G: Yes"
In disbelief I continued searching online, going back to the RSAT download page (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=45520) I found it lists windows 10 as being supported (**Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 10 can be installed ONLY on computers that are running the full release of Windows 10 Professional, Windows 10 Enterprise, or Windows 10 Education.** ) so I downloaded and installed it again. Now everything is back to normal. I hope this saves someone some time!
