Windows 10 win 10 udpate 10/30/18 propmted bitlocker blue recovery key prompt screen.

My Lenovo idea pad Laptop started win 10 udpate on 10/30/18. next morning had the bitlocker blue recovery key prompt screen. MS account does not have bitlocker for my laptop. I did not know about and therefore did not retain a bitlocker key at laptop set
up when new. I do not want to reimage if at all possible. Why is this happening now.



On 11/7/18 My HP laptop just started a Win ten update tonight & I force shut it down fearing another Bitlocker prompt ( no key on that laptop either) ...Can I start the HP in safe mode ?



MS customer support is not helping.
