Hello ,
we have a problem with a user (windows 10 , version 1703) coud not connect to wireless .He is in the right group for authentication in NPS Radius
I foud in the events , this error :
"The system failed to register pointer (PTR) resource records (RRs) for network adapter
with settings:
Adapter Name : {EA268A6F-38A6-47E0-8637-9FAF3EC83B6B}
Host Name : IM-SONO01
Adapter-specific Domain Suffix : cpc.corprate.com
DNS server list :
192.168.1.248
Sent update to server : <?>
IP Address :
192.168.21.192
The reason that the system could not register these RRs was because of a security related problem. The cause of this could be (a) your computer does not have permissions to register and update the specific DNS domain name set for this adapter, or (b) there might have been a problem negotiating valid credentials with the DNS server during the processing of the update request."
You can manually retry DNS registration of the network adapter and its settings by typing 'ipconfig /registerdns' at the command prompt. If problems still persist, contact your DNS server or network systems administrator."
To me I believe this is an DNS Server issue, but my boss says No and only reason that this pops up is after they loose connection and then reconnects. I have tried to flushdns and registerdns and get the same error in the event log.
from the machine of the user i can resole the dns with ip and name and i did a registerdns and no error in output.
Regards
