We have a policy that blocks users from seeing the Windows Update option in the GPO since we deploy them through another utility. I have been trying to find a way to disable the notification that appears in the taskbar that says "Your device is missing important updates". Clicking the icon in the taskbar opens the Settings app where Windows Update would be, but it does not show because of said GPO
Screenshot of issue ( )
You can see the icon in the lower right near the clock. Everything I am reading is due to Windows Update still checking in the background even though GPO has it disabled.
Any insight or resolution anybody is aware of for this problem?

- GPO settings outlined here ...
- ADMX templates are up-to-date with 1803 settings
- Disabling notifications outlined here (Hide notifications from the Windows Security app) does not resolve issue
